The Black Budget

Today, the Washington Post reported on the annual budget for US intelligence, which was leaked through Edward Snowden. The number stands at $52.6 billion (though this does not include defense intelligence, which is funded through the Pentagon). It's an open question of how this information will play for multiple parties in the US, including for members of the Tea Party, who are fiscally conservative budget hawks and anti-government but who sometimes support strong national defense.
