The virtual world

As many of you know cyber security has become a very controversial topic over the past few months. The critical infrastructure of many companies and governments are now virtually connected. As many know this has caused many issues ranging from small incidents to ones involving multiple countries. Everyday there is another article released regarding how we have to be more aware of where, what, and how we post or store how virtual lives.

So far I have mentioned how cyber security is usually spoke about with a negative connotation. In terms of cyber security or attacks by definition  they are not positive or good to have happen in any capacity. However, the virtual mentality of the world has opened many new doors for people across the world.

Having this huge "online" life opens us to use our brains in a way we were never able to stimulate them before. As more people show interest in wanting to learn and stay on top of current cyber attack strategies more schools will offer better and stronger programs. As time progresses more and more companies are starting up and looking for young talent to help protect the critical infrastructures we have.

This cycle has created an immense amount of jobs and a different career path options for those who didn't want to take the traditional career options. In our society of "high" unemployment rates, I can't help but think how the notion of our virtual world and military to protect it has helped keep the unemployment rate lower. I believe the virtual world is here to stay and we will adapt in many more positive ways on how to use it.
