A day without internet

Technology has narrow the distance of communicating people regardless where they are located. Can you imagine what could happen a  day without the internet? Nowadays with the everyday use of Facebook, Twitter and Google to name just a few of the applications people use to communicate each other, to keep inform or just have fun. No able to use laptops, tablets and smartphones. No buying online, no stock trades, no emails.
Although the government is very concern about terrorist attacks, missiles and bombs and how these could affect us. If there is some attack could occur, the dimension of these attacks will be small in magnitude if there will be a cyber attack or just simple the internet went down. It will be a catastrophe for many of the technology consumers. For example, there are some technology consumers who can't be 5 minutes without checking their status in social media, receiving or sending text and emails. People would rather to forget their wallets, keys or money other than forget their cell phones for a day.
Of course we will survive a day without internet, people in other countries like in Africa or Eastern Europe where the use of the internet is very limited. On the other hand, the US is one of the countries that has high level internet consume, that makes us too dependable on the internet. Nobody would die but there will be a major hassle. It is even easier to get off of marihuana or any other heroine than get off of the internet. All these concerns make us vulnerable to hackers who can invade our privacy, company's privacy or even government's privacy. Recently there was a serious cyber attack against Sony production that produce the comedy movie "The Interview" about the assassination of the North Korea leader Kim Jong Un. Hackers from North Korea attacked the system of the Sony producers and intimidated the movie stars James Franco and Seth Rogen to not release the movie. As a result, the movie producers postpone the movie release because of this hacker attack.
Now, Can you imagine what will happen if there will be more than a day? In this case not only social media would be affected, there will be a financial effect, people could lose their jobs and the unemployment rate could  hit serious high numbers. The internet went from make it easy people's life, to technology consumer addiction and very dependable in our daily routine. It is good to use technology but not be too dependable on it. God bless us of any cyber attack.
