Luxy

I am not sure how many people have ever experimented with online dating, as i have not. I guess people will try anything. The thing with online dating is, you never really know what or who i should say, you are going to find. I am sure we have all came across the show catfish once or twice, so this stuff definitely happens to people. For everyone with a smartphone, there is an app called Tinder, which allows you to view people on your phone within a certain distance from you, and either accept or deny them. Then, based on how they rated you, you can either connect and talk or everything goes away as if it never happened.

As if this app doesnt let you be as picky as you want with who you accept, now there is an app called Luxy, which is specifically designed for the wealthy people. Luxy stated that the average income of a male on the app is 200,000$. There is no income verification YET, but Luxy is currently relying on the users to police themselves. The app asks what type of products you consume, in order to build a profile for you. For example, they ask what are your top 5 luxury brands. American Eagle is high end for me. 40 dollars for a pair of jeans is kind of crazy to me. Now a pair of pants from Gucci? Way above my pay grade.

One thing that im glad about, is the app has only gotten one 5 star review, from the CEO of Luxy. Google play has recorded only between 10 and 50 downloads for this app. If this is all true, and say the app costs one dollar (i cant see people paying anymore than that for this app), then i dont see this app catching on for a majority of the population.

Like i said i feel like this app is just a waste. I dont use tinder or any online dating for that matter, but who knows maybe while i have the chance to by pass the income verification, i can sign up and find a rich lady to pay for my school tuition. I actually would not ever do that. But really, if this doesnt bring out the gold diggers than i dont know what will.
