Microsoft changes

Today Microsoft has announced that any office 365 subscriber will get unlimited cloud storage space in addition to their access to the office products. Whilst this plan has not fully rolled out yet, users can still get 1 TB drive storage for signing up for an office 365 subscription. This is a major move, as most cloud storage companies such as Google Drive and Amazon tend to charge similar prices for limited space. Other providers which used to offer unlimited space have reverted to offering limited storage. It will be interesting to see if Microsoft decides to stick by its decision of providing unlimited file storage space.

This follows a set of trends of Microsoft adapting its products, the upcoming OS Windows 10 is bringing a lot of changes. It will introduce new features such as multiple workspaces (virtual desktops) as well as a packet manager called OneGet which is based on an existing windows package manager called Chocolatey.

Between these and other products such as the surface pro 3, Microsoft has managed to have a very successful quarter earnings. Let's see if these trends shall continue in the near future.
